I think people who say the strokes ‘hate’ their fans are the people who approach them screaming crying. there have been some videos of them being approached in airports where they are simply shrieking into their faces - so yeah, I’m sure they hate that. The times I have met some of the band members though, they were super gracious and kind and I think overall they don’t mind talking to fans at all. It just depends on your approach.

While RCA is keeping most of the details of the forthcoming new full length album (yes, you read that correctly) under wraps, we can tell you that of the two songs we heard, one was a more synth driven track, with the other (the aforementioned, “All The Time”) packing a classic strokes sound. No mention of a tour came up, but we can tell you, you’ll be hearing new music from the band sooner than later. More when we can share."

Personally, I’ll try to spend my life fighting for option ‘A’… but seriously, probably on a Tuesday or early Wednesday, just before you’re getting excited for the weekend. |
